Tattooed Everywhere

Are you tattooed everywhere?  Genital tattoos have seemingly slipped in popularity over the course of the last few decades. Flip through photos from the collections of Jack Yount, Sailor Sid and Mr. Sebastian or the pages of Jim Ward’s PFIQ or Fakir’s Body Play & Modern Primitives Quarterly and you’re likely to find as many people with erotic tattoos as without. It’s a shame really, and something I hope to fix in my own tattoo collection sooner rather than later.

Bob had his penis tattooed in the early 1980s by Cliff Raven; this photo sees him displaying it after a bit of vacuum pumping.

Bare Spots (NSFW)

I’ve been collating pictures of the Disney tattoos my friend and mentor Jack Yount had tattooed on him for a future post; like myself Jack was a huge fan of the ‘house of the mouse’ and chose to have a full leg tattoo of classic Disney characters by Ancient Art’s (Orlando) Bud Pierson, who was also responsible for the stomach and right leg aquatic tattoos.

For some reason this photo, which for for the most part doesn’t feature any Disneyana (save for a peek of Pinnochio, Goofy and a little of Ariel’s hair) caught my eye so it’s presented here, solo, while I finish compiling the rest of the photos and put them in the to-be-scanned queue.

Jack’s penis, by this point, was heavily injected with silicone from famed Modification Doctor Ronald Brown.

T&P Parties (NSFW)

A small envelope of photographs I have from the Sailor Sid Diller collection suffered water damage back in the 1980s- I never heard the full story- and I usually try to crop out the damage before including them on the site. But sometimes I think it adds a well traveled bit of character to present them as scanned.

This photograph features Sid at a ‘T&P Party’ circa approximately 1983. Out of context it’s hard to tell if the gentleman laying down is about to get pierced or if it was just a bit of play, but luckily there were cameras present to document it all.

I love seeing Sid with his septum tusk flipped up like this.

Colored Hans

HANS2

Not necessarily wanting to dig through photo albums and storage bins I was lucky to have a lower resolution of Hans of Denmark’s pubic tattoo after the color had been finished. This scan originally appeared on the spcOnline site in 1996 and was captured at a lowly 72dpi before being compressed as a .jpg. One of these days I’ll dig out the original and get a better resolution file out of it. The large rings are through his apadravya piercing.

The tattoo was applied by Mr. Sebastian and the photo dates to approximately 1982.

Like a lot of Europeans of his generation, Hans lived through the bombings and air raids of WW2; the following is from the Body Art #7 (which also features Jack Yount) interview between Hans and photographer Chris Wroblewski:

Chris Wroblewski: What was it like living in a city under siege?

Hans: It was an adventure I remember one house I lived in in the attic state of famous Baron ass who wouldn’t talk to anyone below the rank of  Dr. fortunately we got along rather well and we’d often go down into the air raid shelters together. she wore beautiful costumes an amazing hats.  I always carried an umbrella so that when we when the  Bombs shook  the street no dust would settle on her immaculate  appearance. 1

Sandbox: A Safe Guide: Frenum

Screen Shot 2015-04-23 at 3.07.36 PM

I’m working on another episode of ‘A Safe Guide to Professional Piercing’ starring Jack Yount and filmed by Sailor Sid. This installment features him performing a frenum piercing with a captive bead ring that can be flipped up and used as an ad hoc cockring.

I’ve debated over how much Safe Guide footage is too much and I think the recent hafada episode is the last one that will be published for a while just to keep things from getting stale. so this video is a special treat for Sandbox supporters. I appreciate you folks and your contributions to the site.

If you have access to the Sandbox- the video is live now.

(If you’ve supported Sacred Debris and don’t have a Sandbox password, shoot me an email from the address you donated from and we’ll get you set up)

Leather Sid

leathersid

I keep meaning to write a more in-depth article on the relationship between the 1960s/70s Gay Leather culture and the roots of the Western Body Piercing revival; the two worlds often overlapped and it’s fair to say that without leather culture the piercing scene would have evolved much, much differently. You’d think that it would come naturally for me to write about- I’ve been going to leather bars since I was a teenager. I work at a leather bar. There are tons of resources out there for me to dig through, people to interview…

Instead I’ll be lazy- for now- and just add this photo of Sailor Sid Diller geared up. It’s been sitting in my queue for about two months waiting for me to get the lead out and get to researching the leather article… Sid deserves better than that.

ModCocks

This post originally ran as a diary entry on my personal blog on 03.28.2013 and has been slightly edited for content.

ModCocks.
This is a true story. I haven’t thought about it in years, but a conversation earlier with my friend Christy brought it back, and I figured since I’m still in a ‘those were the days!’ kind of mood I’d get this one down for posterity even though it’s a quickie.

For me, Body Modification has always had a root in sexuality. I don’t really talk about sexuality that much here on SD, which is odd given how important it is to my life. I think that there’s still that feeling that I have to limit or censure what I say here because it’s so ‘public’ but for today we’ll just pretend that we’re all adults and that a dirty anecdote is perfectly acceptable.

It was either at ModCon2 or ModCon3 in Toronto Ontario (which would have been 2000 or 2002) when Shannon an I first started joking about the idea of ModCocks. The plan was to get a handful of DIY penis molding kits, send them out to our practitioner friends and have them send the molds back for us to go into production on dildos based on our penises. Subincised dildos, dildos with implants- very niche items for the modification community.

In the middle of trying to orchestrate a full scale underground surgical modification event, we found ourselves laughing hysterically on the phone to friends who couldn’t make it up for the convention, asking if they’d consent to being turned into a sex object. You’d be surprised at how many people readily agreed to do it; then again, probably not.

Like a lot of our hairbrained schemes, we had a full marketing plan laid out- which included sending a few samples to more active contributors of BME/HARD for field testing and documentation- but sadly it never went anywhere.
