Prince Albert by Mr. Sebastian

sebastiansacred3These photos, which were taken in 1981 by Sailor Sid Diller,  originally appeared on the spcOnline site in 1998 and feature legendary British Tattooist/Piercer Alan ‘Mr. Sebastian’ Oversby performing a Prince Albert piercing. Techniques have evolved over time- here we see Alan piercing from the inside of the urethra out with no receiving tube. Great care had to be taken to not knick the inside of the urethra, making it a less then ideal way to perform the piercing.

My own P.A. was done by Jack Yount using this method before he began using a NRT.

  1. Would you believe there’s a big push to go back to this method? A lot of piercers are starting to do inside out PA’s like it’s a new idea….. Those modern pansies wear gloves though.

  2. NRT all the way for me! I remember when some piercers were inserting a small head Pennington forcep down the urethra to accomplish this piercing. Ouch!

  3. Sometime during the early 1990s, a UK piercer developed a shortened NRT. This allowed for the safe insertion of the needle into the urethra while performing this “inside-out” method. I do not know the name of the piercer / company that developed this, but I first saw these short NRTs at Into You in London, 1994, (Piercer: Teena-Marie).
